I've had one of their older versions for many years...great tool. (referring to the marking gauge of course)

This set of 60 CNC cut dowels, includes all the lengths any woodworker could ever need in both rational and irrational sizes.

Finally!

You can amplify the usefulness of this tool by using old Yahtzee dice as incremental, stackable set-up blocks.

My old rosewood unit with a $5.00 micrometer does just fine. I would end up losing half the dowels

That's last year's model.

When they offer the scoring wheel in PMV11 I'll buy it.

Today is APRIL 1st. Not only is it EASTER, but April Fools also. Is this LV April Fools joke for this year?

To Bruce above - I presumed it is their April Fools joke. It has to be, right?

Gage pins are wood? not hardened steel. Accuracy will not last long.
I used to have a pack of thick plastic cards about 4x6 inches and 1/16 thick. I wood stack them up to center my biscuit cutter. Lost them in a move. They were index cards for cds & dvds when a music store went out of business.

Bil lD.

This set costs about $800

Well, an April Fools joke but from last year. See:

Hi Jim,

No - nothing this year, we're taking a pause... too many projects on the go.

The good news is, the couple of hundred hours that would normally go into an April Fool's tool has been put into real tools!

For those that are interested, searching for "AFD" on our website will bring up all of the previous April 1st tools.

Cheers -

Rob

No wonder their prices are so high if they waste so much making exact, working tools for April Fool jokes.

I love when people don’t get that it’s April Fools Day and they critique the item!!! That’s the best part of the joke.

...especially when you read the name of the wood used for making the dowels: « Lignum mediocris » - which is described as having 1/8 inch growth rings! Good one!

I got the mediocris but why laugh at 1/8 growth rings I have seen bigger just not in old growth wood.
Starrett sells individual micrometer standard rods for about $33 each. More for ones longer then one inch.

I ordered two, but they are already backordered. Only $5 to have it monogramed with your initials!

Darn. They were all out of the 250 piece set. I had to settle for the 100 piece set. I hope it will prove accurate enough.
