I used hot glue beads to make "shims" in my router lift cutout hole. The beads were put in, one at a time, after leveling the lift with 4 of the leveling screws. The beads were sticking to the lift instead of the MDF, so I put small bits of paper on the beads before setting the router lift in place. Really easy and a perfect fit. It is easy to remove the beads and redo if you had a need later. You could use the same idea with epoxy by waxing (carnauba floor wax) the router lift before setting down on the epoxy beads, but the epoxy could not be too runny. You could let the epoxy stiffen before setting the router lift in place. I think I like the hot glue idea best in this case.
