I want to make some ear ring holder stands for my granddaughters. I am thinking the rim with the hole should be about 3/16" thick with 1/8" holes about 1/8" from the edge. Has anyone made these and what are good dimensions. About 5" tall and 5" in diameter?

Edit: Spacing?

Look on the "Woodturning Online " website They have a plans for an earring holder. I have made several of these. I even made some where I stacked them up and increased the capacity without increasing the footprint. This requires a slight increase in the bottom diameter to keep it from becoming top heavy. I also put cork or felt on the bottom's.

Thanks Thomas, that is what I needed. Appreciate it.

I have made several of these for my wife and as presents for relatives. Hopefully I can post a picture, never tried before so am not sure how it will work out. This one is 7" tall and the top is 4" dia. with 1/8" thick edge hollowed out about 5/8" deep top and bottom. Jim.382902382903

That is a neat concept. Expect there will be several using the idea in future. That is neat thing about SMC getting new ideas. Thanks for sharing.
