I have a pretty decent router table that is missing the hardware that allows one to adjust the fence to accommodate various board widths. Do you need pictures or is this pretty universal for adjustable fences? Thank you

I'm sure you'll get a lot of speculative responses. Better snap a pic. My guess is that you are talking about something to attach to the table to precisely adjust the fence but, that's my first guess based on your post.

There are many sources for router table fences, ranging all the way from basic to very sophisticated. Rockler, Woodpeckers, Kreg, General, Bench Dog, Incra . . . I used a Rockler fence and table for many years before I upgraded to Incra. I would think that a search online would give you a whole list of sources for whatever level of upgrade or replacement you are doing. Incra is on the top end while Rockler sells a whole range of router table fences, etc. in different price ranges. I think they can all work for you. I know I was sorry I didn't upgrade to the Incra many years ago because of the built-in accuracy and high quality, but I got along fine with a low-end Rockler table/fence.

Consider a single pivot fence. Add a secnd threaded insert if you want to significantly change locations. You could add a micro-adjuster if you want, but there is really no need. If the bit location is 1/3 of the fence's length from the pivot, then a .5 mm movement at the end is about .166 mm change at the bit; about .0066 inches. As suggested in other replies you can add dust collection, guards accessory t-tracks.....

Looks like all you need is a couple 2" long 5/16 T-bolts (T as in toilet), and two plastic knobs to match (several types to choose from). I like to add 5/16 fender washers below the knobs to keep from scoring the aluminum fence.

Note: Some people use 1/4" T-bolts , or T-nuts. I prefer 5/16. For future jig making use, you can buy T-Track to fit either size. Decide what you want now and standardize. It's nice to be interchangeable.

As stated above, these items are fairly standard and easy to come by.

PS: Just thought of this. You probably already know, but the T-bolt goes up through the bottom. Feel under the slot and you can feel it has a wider opening on the bottom side for the head of the T-bolt. Forgive me for being so basic, but just in case.............

I went with a Freud router fence with a solid fence, no need for using the split fence option for me.

Another option is Rockler Cam Clamps. I use them on my router table and drill press fences and am very satisfied.
