Yew root ball

Here's a peek inside my yew root ball vase after 2 coats of PTO cut with mineral spirits. I intend to give it at least 6 coats with the last 2 or 3 straight out of the can.

Sometimes a piece of wood looks so very 3 dementional.
This is a close up of an area on the side of this rootball.
A couple of years ago a friend got permission for us to take down a large Orange Orange tree. Think I might go back sometime this summer and dig up the root ball.
