job control pointer disappeared

I have the red dot in the laser but Job control is not showing the pointer location after i engage the laser.
Does anyone have any ideas? I am sure it is just a setting gone wonky

shut everything down and reboot. If that doesn't resolve it then a call to tech support is in order.
