ok.. Don't comment on the QVC thing but.... I was watching crap tools on QVC when all of a sudden they swung into jewlery.

One of the items was a mirror, on a stand, which was actually a good sized jewelry storage unit. Pbly 4' tall by about 20" wide. I want to build one for my daughter.

They called it a "jewlery safekeeper".

The unit was lined w/ some kind of protective material that kept silver and gold from tarnishing.. Hence my question.

Where can one buy that stuff?

I've already started sketches w/ dimensions and hope to have it done by April for her birthday.

Any leads would be appreciated.

Joe

Joe, I don't know if this is the stuff, but a Google search for "silver cloth" turned up this site at the top of the list, with many other hits: http://www.nancysilver.com/gal/silvercloth_g.htm. (http://www.nancysilver.com/gal/silvercloth_g.htm)

Hope this helps -

P.S. And we won't give you a hard time about your little QVC problem. :p LOML has the same ailment. She even TiVos the stuff, so she won't miss her favorite "presenters". Just shoot me now.

It is generally called anti-tarnish cloth. I've bought it by the yard at a local fabric store. You can probably find it online.

Vaugh,
I have never watched QVC. I was just flipping through channels and saw tools. Now who can resist watching... then all of a sudden *POOF*, it was jewelry. The first item was the jewelry safe keeper. I immediately thought of my daughter.

Now I know what the stuff is called, it'll be easier to find.

Jamie,
Thanks.. I wasn't sure if the stuff could be had at a cloth store... Now I guess I know.
