What sort of feet do you use for your lathe?

I'm going to take my Nova DVR XP off its machine casters because they allow the lathe to wiggle a little. I don't really want to anchor to the floor and I will need to lift it about 1.5". And of course I'll need to level it.

I'm thinking stud mounted leveling pads in maple blocks with holes to accept the pads. Any ideas would be welcome.

Thanks - Richard

I did exactly that when I wanted to raise one lathe a bit. Steel feet with nylon pads and threaded shafts, leveled with nuts. The pads rested in shallow Forstner bit holes drilled in oak blocks. Worked well.

I agree with JKJ as the way to go.

Well, if I had that lathe I guess I would need something a little beefier than maple blocks!

Thanks John and Bill.
I'm having the back wall of my shop repaired and figured this is the time to address this issue. I'm also thinking I may position the lathe so I can get all the way around it.
More space needed - the vortex expands.
