Is Lee Valley the only place that sells a (steel) shoulder vise screw?

Grizzly, Shop Fox, Yost, I assume you are wanting the screw only and will build the rest?

Google ACME thread stock. It's a common machine shop supply. Nuts and handles have to be fabricated.

I'm thinking about making some clamps and have found the rod is simple to find and not that spendy, but somehow the nuts are the opposite.
Can always weld the nuts into a flange plate of any style, just don't heat so much as to deform.

McMaster-Carr sells acme threaded rods in lots of sizes along with nuts and handles.
