This past weekend I took delivery of a vintage backsaw, a 1900 era Diston No. 4 I ordered from Pete Tarin (Vintage Saws and a fellow forum member). Pete rehabbed the saw to my specifications and I received it about a week after placing the order. It is a terrific small tenon saw, with some history that I am quite pleased with and it is now ready for another century of use. Pete cleaned up the saw while maintaining the patina that a saw from the golden age of saws wears as a badge of honor. If anyone is looking for a quality vintage backsaw, rehabbed to your specification, Pete Tarin is the man to see – highly recommended.
