I have watched all of William NG's videos. I picked up some good tips from him. Also, the videos are professionally done with no swearing or radios playing in the background, etc. I was wondering what are some of your favorite or most informative videos.

I watch a ton of YouTube. It's where I've learned most of my skills. Here are some of my favorite channels:

John Heisz (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCzGbp-rRVNwyFhn9gHoZr5g) - Lots of shop projects. Lots of tool building
Crafted Workshop (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC-hTi9atsD6wAl2s46LpAVw) - Mostly modern furniture and shop projects
Jay Bates (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC-7XY-W_C84cW2MNqujgFpg) - Tons of shop projects in his earlier videos. He's been really getting into hand tools lately
The Wood Whisperer (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCKp44bWWZIiOPShPN_ytShw) - I'm sure we all know who he is. All kinds of good stuff
Fix This Build That (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCHYSw4XKO_q1GaChw5pxa-w) - Lots of shop projects and easy furniture builds
Home Made Modern (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6pdMJwtkbCNoQRwbaNt77A) - Modern furniture builds with minimal tools
I Like to Make Stuff (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6x7GwJxuoABSosgVXDYtTw) - CNCs, lasers, 3d printing, shop projects, automation
Izzy Swan (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCO39zTYpvWL5jx2q15Ma_Hw) - the crap that guy comes up with blows my mind
Jackman Works (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCaI4Tib6te88f_P9r8w5Tmw) - focuses a lot on working with pallet wood. I watch a lot for the production value
Shop Built (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCZBqq0o54ShN5cSTflT2MnQ) - lots of shop projects

I've watched several of William's videos and thought they were excellent too. I made his cross-cut sled and his box-joint jig and love them both.

I would add:
Frank Howarth
Bellevue Woodshop
Tips from a Shipwright
Matthias Wandel
Garage Workshop
There are a couple in your list I wasn't aware of, I'll check them out.

I watch a few of the above, when I have time. Another I didn't see on the list is The Homestead Craftsman. He has some good videos on building tables.

I've met Bob, who likes to make stuff, in person a couple of times and he is a genuinely nice guy.

John Heisz cracks me up.

Too bad he doesn't do very many. He keeps promising to do more, then he takes months and months off.

Of course not, he's an instructor at a woodworking school. But unless you sit in his classroom, you don't get to see his work except through his rare YouTube videos.

He’s probably getting paid a lot more to teach classes than to make YouTube videos. Can you blame him?

He has to put food on the table too, and make said table.

Good lists of channels though, thanks everyone.

I like youtube, but it is tough to get recognized. I have wonderful commenters, and many have asked me to put together some higher quality videos since the majority of them are just quickly made with a cell phone.

I wanted to do something more like Ishitani-san, whose videos are wonderful.

My friend Tommy and I put together some videos, 4k (which were then uploaded in 1080), took about 6 hours to film for 10 minutes of video. We had a lot of fun making them, so no complaints there and they look cool on my web page. However...after so many requests the videos received so far 500~ views respectively.

You guys are welcome to take a look:

MTMWood is another good one if you don't mind subtitles. No better place to learn how to make end grain cutting boards and I've learned a lot from him that applies to other things completely different than cutting boards. Interesting CNC work also using the VCarve inlay method.

Brian Holcombe’s channel is the absolute best.

I do look forward to when you do post new videos. I realize the amount of time it takes to produce a quality video must be very "time consuming". You are one of my favorite craftsmen top watch and your talent is amazing! I'm selfishly asking you to make more videos:).

Absolutely love Frank Howarth - as much for the creativity of his videos as anything else.

Ishitani Furniture for sheer beauty of his work, but also excellent video quality.

Mathias Wandel because, well, you just have to check out his channel (633 videos in 11 years!)

Extreme Woodworker for discussion of tools, mostly.

Andrew Pitts for very in-depth videos with a lot of vacuum veneering.

Others: Wood Whisperer, MTMWood, Jon Peters Art & Home, wortheffort.

Not really woodworking-related: Essential Craftsman for helping me understand the craftsmanship of the construction trades.

I usually watch a couple of videos prior to going to sleep every night.
However, I have watched a few where the host will mount a very out of balance, cracked and bark on piece on the lathe and proceed to rough it out with no face shield.
If a guy posts how-to videos I think it is his/her responsibility to lead by example, particularly when it comes to safety.

I have been watching a large number of CNC-oriented videos as of late in preparation for joining that world. In addition, I enjoy some of the ExtremeWoodworker videos, some from Peter Parfatt and others as well as some of the build series from Crimson Guitars.

The one thing that bugs the heck out of me with Jimmy Diresta videos is that he puts his name on absolutely everything. I mean, I can understand not wanting your videos to get stolen, I can understand not wanting to give free advertising, but it's absolutely everywhere! Great craftsman, but that just rubs me the wrong way.

Actually, he owns the school. It's just a few miles from my home. I visited him one time to see his place but never took any classes.

He used to teach at Cerritos College Woodworking before he started his school.

Great craftsman, but that just rubs me the wrong way.I don't care for that either but he does the YT thing full-time so the branding thing is somewhat important. He also had a lot of his own content re-upped on other "fan" channels as well....

Brian those are fantastic and I can see how it might take six hours of video for ten minutes of presentation. I had never actually seen a Japanese plane used or sharpened so that was very instructive. Thank you!

Seeing his name and branding around doesn't really bother me, in fact I think it's kind of cool. Either way, it doesn't affect the video content he puts out. Have you ever checked out his tips videos? I had a hot glue gun sitting in a drawer for years gathering dust and after he opened my eyes to all sorts of applications with it, I now use it all the time. The bandsaw tips video is great also. He's a deep well of practical knowledge, a genuine working man.

Yet there are tons of YouTubers out there doing it full time that don't feel the need to do that. Like I said, he's a fine craftsman, I just find the practice horribly annoying and therefore I don't watch most of his videos. That doesn't make his projects any better or worse, I just have lots of other people I prefer to watch.

Yes, I purchased his plans for the MFSC (Multi Function Shop Cart). Next year I plan on building it as a module that goes on top of my hydraulic shop cart. I don't need to duplicate that portion of the MFSC.

Timothy has a very organized work style that appeals to me.............Regards, Rod.

Over the weekend (actually during the super bowl) I was searching for a solution (expertise) on steam/heat bending white oak and came across a series of videos that completely blew my mind. I forwarded them to a woodworking friend (former dedicated boatbuilder, now mostly cabinets/furniture) and he too was wowed ... so I knew these had to be special. I think what impressed both of us most was the vast array of complicated process steps, unique tooling (much hand made) and expertise in arcane but highly developed manufacturing techniques. Apologies if this has already been shared.

I can't say I'd agree with many (or any) of his methods with furniture making, a lot of it just seems very quick and dirty in order to get into one short-ish reel that holds the viewer's attention. To me, his strong suit is producing great content. I actually enjoy his vlogs more than anything.

Sorry to drag back an older thread, but I was just browsing YouTube and realized that if the channel name or video title contains "crazy", "extreme", or "ultimate" I'm not going to watch it.
