I bought this off of a cabinet/millwork company for $250. I've searched around for information on this clamp and have came up empty. No markings on it. Handy is the only similar style I could find. Any information from the fine folks of this forum would be greatly appreciated.

2 possibilities:

Torture device for compressing an arm (leg? head?) until the rat talks!
Production clamping of cabinet doors (or something else)

Good find, if you have the space...

Haha thanks. I have the space and am going to make a bench top that I can clamp into it when not using it for clamping purposes. That's what I told my dads girlfriend when they were over was that someone owed me money. I'm more interested in who made it and possibly when. I enjoy knowing the history of the tools along with their stories if possible.

I can't wait to see how you hang it on the wall with the rest of the clamps! But it sure is a cool piece.

A lot of that stuff with no name on it was purpose made by employees. One place I worked in the '60s did a lot of that.
It was a three story factory with lots of belt driven equipment. OSHA made lots of work for them, too.

Yeah its all cast iron(Clamping mechanism). I don't know if this shop would have been capable of producing it but who knows. The diameter of the wheel is around 22".

Is that possible?
