I haven't been around for weeks due to a knee replacement. Not dead yet :). Can't sit at the computer very much due to knee pain.

Glad to hear from you George. Have thought about you a few times recently.

Do all of your therapy your doctor tells you to do. It keeps your knee from getting stiff.

Hang in there George, we need you. And do the therapy - no old man BS regarding the need for therapy.

It’s good to hear you’re alive and kicking, with one leg anyway :D. Do your exercises, take care and hurry back.

Woohoo! (to you being back, not to knee pain).

Glad to see you're still with us George. I was seriously about to start pestering people that I know who have non-SMC relationships with you to see if all was OK.

Old age is tough, but it sure beats the alternative. I know:)

I'm glad to see you posting again.

+1 on this advice. My wife is a PT and she acknowledges that although rehab can be very painful at times, her joint replacement patients who are willing to push through the pain during therapy regain more of their range of motion than "less enthusiastic" patients AND recover more quickly.
She hurts me all the time but assures me that its all for my own good...

George, good to hear you're on the mend. My BIL had a knee replaced and says his only regret is not doing 10 years ago. I hope you're quickly beyond the pain and soon enjoying the same improvements.

This is not good news, George. I am in your will to get the machines ... and your dovetail and tenon saws. Oh, and your boxwood Marples chisels. Oh well ...

Welcome back. You have been missed. A lot.

Regards from Perth

Hi George, keep pushing through the pain with your PT and you will be feeling better than you have been in years. My wife was in seriously bad shape before having both her hips replaced in the past few years and now she feels great (except in really cold weather).

My father in law had both knees replaced two years ago and now he's walking with no pain, biking, swimming, etc. It was a huge improvement for him.

All the best George.

Very good to hear from you George, we have all been missing you! And I'll echo what others have said--short term pain for long term gain!

Speedy recovery and welcome back,
Chris

What a bright and cheerful Post to come upon. It is good to hear you are doing better George. I have missed your stories and presence here on the sight.
I hope your knee gets better quickly.

Plus 1 on the criticality of rehab therapy. It's a now, not later thing, too. Don't think you're going to build up to it, just plunge in, grit your teeth and do the work. You'll be pleased with the result if you do; you'll be very displeased if you don't.

Take care, and stay with us. We all wish you well.
