It's snowing today in the Northeast and the kids are home from school. The woodstove is going and YouTube popped up one of the best woodworking videos I've ever seen:
https://youtu.be/gS78naDiB4k (https://youtu.be/gS78naDiB4k)
It's a start-to-finish build of a Goodall guitar. I'm not a guitar maker or player but I was transfixed for the entire 49 minutes. The explanations, the clever jigs, the amazing wood, and the skills of the father and son were truly inspirational, even for someone who has no plans to ever make an instrument.
Make sure you watch it in HD because the video quality is excellent, and wear your headphones so you can hear what the end product sounds like.
BTW, I found a 2012 price list from one of their dealers and you could very easily spend $15-20k on one of their guitars. I have no doubt they're worth every penny.
