I make wooden trucks and use mineral oil for a finish. I have a large run of them in the works now and soon will need to apply the finish. I was thinking about using a spray bottle and trying to spray mineral oil. Then I thought about dipping the trucks in a bucket of the oil....... now I need to find a LOT of mineral oil!

Any suggestions or application and where to get a couple of gallons of oil?

For cutting boards I just wipe on a thick coat and let it soak in. I'd bet you could spray it, but its pretty thick so you might have trouble getting it through the spray bottle.

Maybe Sams or Costco would have a big bottle?

Mineral oil never dries, it just slowly evaporates. Its not something I would use as a finish.

I'd use an oil/varnish blend, such as Watco or Minwax Antique Oil. It will cure and leave a in the wood finish. All modern finishes are safe for children after they are fully cured. You could dip them in this, and wipe off the excess as you remove them from the liquid. Seems to me a lot easier than trying to spray, since for spraying you would have to have a way to turn them to cover all six sides.
