I've used this one - https://jonathan.overholt.org/projects/cutlist - in that past but it's only for Linear material.

After referring to Mr Google I found this one - http://workshop-buddy.com/index.html

It's simple, which is exactly what I need. I have no affiliation to it whatsoever. I did a search on SMC and was unable to find any reference to it.

Has anyone used it before?

Just thought I'd share. Happy New Year!

Sincerely, Dave.

The learning curve is not steep and after a week or so of playing with it, I was able to use the free version five years ago to design a very large kitchen.

Don't totally rule out a pay-for program as sometimes there is an advantage to them in project scale or features. CutListPlus, for example, supports viewing the reports on mobile devices which some folks find very convenient as an alternative to printing sheets of paper. Why? the ability to magnify things on the screen. I'm just starting to play with that feature now because of the screen manipulation.

David,

Thanks for sharing that link. That does look like a viable alternative to some paid programs.

I will second Jim's comment. I bought the cheapest version of CutList Plus a few years ago and have definitely gotten my money's worth. If you're using a lot of sheet goods I don't see how you could be without an optimization app.

What specifically are you looking to make cutlists for?

Door and drawer parts can be done easily with a spreadsheet. If I could figure out how to upload them here, I'd gladly share mine.

(edit)- Nevermind, you're looking for something for sheet stock
