Picked up this really cool albeit simple router plane (basically a poor man's router plane like Paul Sellers) off of the Bay for cheap. There are only two marks on it: "W. Hawley" and on the iron it says something that I can't make out and then "Sheffield Eng". It looks well-made with good steel. Has anyone ever seen one like it? Thanks!

It definitely could be - it's a 1/2'' cutter. Now that I've got the iron I'm thinking I can build some other bodies for it to fit into like a shoulder plane or others.

Tate, that is the definitive Old Woman's Tooth (OWT). So named - without any reverence for political correctness :) - as they resembled the tooth of an old hag. These were built with a plough plane blade.

I have built more traditionally shaped wooden routers using modern blades, such as those from Veritas. These are a different design altogether.
