This is off topic, but I've posted a similar string before. . .

As you my be aware, Harvey rolled through a few weeks back. The debris is cleaned up and the temperature is in the low 70's. The sky is cloudy bright.

I live on a street that is .305 miles long. I walk the the length of the street each morning four time for a 1.1 mile walk. I am 81 years old, have no health issues and no aches and pains.
I have been doing this for 15 years and I attribute this to my walking. In the early 200's, I read a book on fitness walking. Google "fitness walking". You will find articles on the subject.

I encourage you to start a routine.

I enjoyed this morning's post Harvey walk.

While in Cardio Rehab one of the specialist there told me that people who stop doing the regular exercise tend to end up coming back after another surgery.

Well, it is a cold wet miserable day in Galveston County this morning. I will walk later.

I walk to keep walking. Many men my age can't walk a mile. I am blessed and thankful.

I will wear my feather down jacket when I walk. It does not matter what the temperature is it keeps me comfortable. I think the down
allows a wide range of temperaure.

That's why I keep walking
I think walking keeps my joints working and muscles toned.

Disclaimer: I am a walker / hiker. I used to walk 5-10 miles daily just in the course of my life. I don’t take elevators if I don’t have to.

I walk 1 to 1-1/2 miles per day in the morning with my dog rain or shine. When I was diagnosed with cancer I researched my treatment and other factors. One significant recovery / quality of life factor, was that people who exercised through their cancer treatment did significantly better than those who did not. So every day after Chemo sickness, I would bundle up and walk my dog. Some days the walk was pretty slow and I would pause a bit, but I would walk.

Walking is good for you mentally and physically.

I walked this morning as well, 75 degrees, partly cloudy and delightful. I walked 1.2 miles. Galveston County Texas is delightful this time of year.
