chuck insert

im looking for a chuck insert,,,not the adapter,,, that goes from a spindle size of 1 1/4 to 1x8,,,,the 1x8 screws into your chuck and the 1 1/4 screws onto your spindle,,,I can find the adaptor but not the insert,,,any help would be appreciated,,,thank you

This is the only type item I know of but I may be reading it wrong. If I am reading it correctly you are looking for an insert (such as a Nova insert) where the exterior is smaller than the interior?

You want a spindle adapter rather than a chuck adapter ???, still called an adapter, as it adapts from one size to another, larger or smaller.

I bought a 1 1/4" x 8 Apprentice collet chuck from Craft Supplies for about $90 and it came with one. I use it occasionally to adapt my Nova chuck with a 1 1/4"insert to a mini lathe.
