Has anyone used the Xtreme Xtension router chuck extension on there routers?
This would be used on router in a router table.

The problem with extensions is they magnify any chuck runout and combine it with any runount present in the extension. Good things to avoid...

And I would hate to calculate the stress on the router bearings (which are often considered the weak link of a router)

Chris, I use this one from MLCS (http://www.mlcswoodworking.com/shopsite_sc/store/html/smarthtml/pages/routcollet.html). It works pretty well, but it doesn't like to release the bit some times. It got some good reviews from a couple of woodworking magazines.

i have the extreme extension i use with a bosch 1619 router.absolutely no problems with runout even with a raised panel bit.
