I'm basically a wood turner, but occasionally want to create shapes beyond round.
My work is generally large, so taking off a fair bit of material, quickly, is important.

So I'm looking at the ArborTech Industrial blade.
https://www.arbortechtools.com/ce/product/industrial-woodcarver-replacement-blade/

Review seems good. My concern is the cost of replacing the cutters.
Rockler is selling 3 pcs for $55 bucks.

Has anyone found other (cheaper) options?

thanks

The 4" Arbortech cutter is quite effective, and aggressive. Handle with care. You can rotate the inserts several times before replacement.

I have used kutzall wheel on an angle grinder for carving out rocking chair seats. Check out their website.
