my dad had a lengthy subscribsription to a mag called weekend woodworker /it has become extinct and he has some options to get back his left over subsription time but my question is there a mag out ther similar that i could get for him. he was more in tune to small projects like that mag had not the higher end stuff like FWW, he already gets WOOD, and some others so if you could tell me of a few choices i would appreciate the help. thanks again

Popular Woodworking, maybe.. It tend's to have projects that are more functional and economical, ie folding sawhorses made of plywood, and alot of small utilitarian types of projects for use around the house.
It's actually not a bad magazine.
One more suggestion would be the Shop Notes publications.
