I'm going to get a few more pics. I only took that one and just realized that. As for the rustic look, it is all natural wood, its spalted maple. I don't use any stain on anything I build. I clear coat then that's it...

It's impossible to tell from the picture. I think you should make another just like it and when you send it I'll get my wife to comment on it after a month or two.

It looks fantastic. What are the approximate dimensions?

I wondered about the knobs on the side too - function or design element?

The front is really good,and looks like some great exotic wood. I think any rustic perception comes from the light colored top and bottom. Dark would put it into a different gear. The angle might make the top look a little thicker than it really is.
