Where can one find out the wear layer thickness of "Trafficmaster" sheet vinyl products?
The conventional wisdom of the web is that when buying sheet vinyl, you should pay attention to the thickness of the "wear layer". I can find wear layer data for the sheet vinyl sold by Lowes, but not for Home Depot's (apparently proprietary band) Trafficmaster. I called Home Depot and was directed to a product specialist. She tried to get the wear layer thickness for a particular Trafficmaster sheet vinyl by calling experts known to Home Depot. She herself was put on hold for about 20 minutes. When she told me about that, I said she could forget about it and thanked her for her effort.
Since Trafficmaster offers a 25 year limted warranty on some of their sheet vinyl, it probably has a wear layer thickness of about 20 mils, but who knows?
