This 12 in D X 4 in T dogwood bowl is being shown because of the color. I finished it with multiple coats of lacquer, and then buffed it. To tell the truth I just like the pink color I found inside this big old dogwood tree. As always your comments your are welcomed. I hope you like it, and if you see some way I could have done a better job please let me know, thanks.

Glenn, I've turned a couple small pieces of Dogwood, and I loved the coloring and easy turning qualities of them. I'd love to get my hands on some nice sized pieces. Great job, that's a beauty for sure!

Just a great bowl, that's all....:) Love that Dogwood. I've got 35 on them on my 1.8 acre lot. I had 37, but 2 of them died recently...:( But I did get a few pieces of pink wood out of the one that died. I have one big tree that might be 12" at the base, but it forks about 4 different directions about 3 feet off the ground.

Very nice bowl!

Thanks for the picture!

Wonderful Bowl Glenn!! The wood, the form, the finish....all great. If I had to grope for a suggestion, it would be to smooth(round) the square edge on the inside rim. But really, that's just me.....It really doesn't need a thing!

Beautiful wood and form Glen, I guess a Dogwood tree would
be easy to spot in amongst all those Georgia Pines!!

Glen,

What a great bowl - love that dogwood. My father been saving his trimmings for me to make some pens with, but nothing big enough for a bowl - maybe I could make one of those miniature goblets like I've seen on here recently!

Mark, Ol' Buddy!;) ;)

You mean you wouldn't gladly sacrifice yourself for your Turnin' Buddies!! :D

I'm sure we would , for you!!
