Great looking platter and we know it's yours because of the great foot. Guess I'll have to make a platter so I can play on "platter day":D .

Won't be able to make a platter fo platter day...............maybe next time. Around here they call Hackberry a "junk" tree. Personally, I like it!

I'm with Keith....I need to get busy and do a platter so I'm not left out next time!!!:( That Hackberry is pretty stuff Mark. Where'd you get it?

Interesting colors in that one Mark. I need to try a platter sometime althought on my little jet it might could only be a plate. I need to get me a big lathe like you Powermatic guy's..

I need to come take lessons from you! When I try hackberry, which is very common in TN, it never looks this good and I usually have lots of tearout and sanding problems. Its like trying to turn soft white pine...

Mark, you picked a good form for that piece of wood...it doesn't interrupt the wonderful coloration. Great job!

Mark, the color is outstanding, as the finish you have applied really brings it out. The form is perfecta.
