Here is a Brown Mallee bowl I recently finished. It measures 13" x 2". It was finished with BLO and then buffed with the Beall system. Comments and criticism are always welcome.

Wow Loy!!! You just convinced me to go pick out a nice Mallee burl today at lunch. They have some Red Mallee at Berea. I just gotta give that a try! Beautiful!!!;)

Beautiful bowl, Loy. I've bought quite a bit of wood from Lee; he's a nice guy to deal with.
As a newbie to bowl turning, can you tell me how you hold the bowl to do the base? I assume you use vacuum.

I did use vacuum to finish off the bottom. I am sure you could get away with setting up a jam chuck. Lee's website is like a candy store! :D
To everyone who has replied, thank you for all the compliments.
