If that is a unisaw it takes a little work to make a standard motor fit. If you want three phase should be able to find one cheaper.

It might cost about the same as new to have the existing motor rewound. Shipping is a killer for buying used motors unless you get lucky. Dave

The run capacitor went out. The motors fine. Can't find the motor or capacitor

You can use a generic capacitor. See if you can find what size is needed for that motor & then go to a motor shop & get one. The shop could probably even tell you what size would work for that motor. And they are not expensive.

Check the local electric motor shops. I had the capacitor go out on my Delta dust collector and the local shop set me up with a generic capacitor which has been going strong for over 5 years.

The saw shop is headed down that road but the replacement isn't going to look good. They have to mount it in a different location. Still looking out for a motor.

I'm confused. You say the motor's fine, then why are you looking for a new motor?

Because the aftermarket or substitute capacitor doesn't look like it belongs to the motor

How old is the saw? The owwm guys might be able to source capacitors that fit. Hard for me to believe that replacements can't be found. Dave

Here is a 4hp Leeson for $507. http://www.electricmotorwholesale.com/LEESON-120998/ You might check to see if right or left tilt makes a difference. I have also seen people weld up a bracket so that any motor can be bolted up. I recall that Delta has a unusual shaft size. Good ole Delta.

I paid about 2k six years ago with be Izmir's fence and extended table. The tool shop replaced all the upper for 550.00 about 6 months ago. Do I spend the 700.00 +? Probably lol!! It's still cheaper than s new saw.

That really doesn't matter. As long as the capacitor is of the correct rating & you can find some way to mount it to the motor, you good. Maybe fasten it with some perforated strapping. Just make sure the terminations are insulated.
