Homemade Wenge putter, just for fun

Just thought I'd share some pics of a wood putter I made. I build cabinetry and furniture for a living, this is my first attempt at a putter. It's not perfect but it turned out pretty good and feels great.
I had no real plan going into it, just kept drilling holes, filling with solder and sanding. Didn’t measure anything so it’s a bit random
I didn't want to put any money into it so I just used stuff I had around the shop. The silver is just holes drilled out and filled with solder. The other metal things are tungsten fishing weights. The wood is a chunk of scrap Wenge. Head weight ended up at 322 grams.

Ha, I just finished it yesterday so it hasn't seen the course yet. I doubt it will replace my normal putter but it was a fun little project

That's a very kewel project, Brandon!! It will be interesting to hear how well it works on the "short grass" relative to feel and accuracy. Regardless, that's a really good looking "pasture pool" tool!

Very nice. How much loft did you put on it?

Thank you. 4 degrees, lie angle is about 70. Drilling for the shaft was the only real challenge. Took my time to set my drill press up just right
