I have an 18" jet bandsaw. Anyone with info for a fence and powerfeed?

A powerfeed puts a lot of stress on both the table trunnions and the blade itself. I wouldn't put a true bandsaw feeder on a saw that light. Because the feeder doesn't slow to compensate for board inconsistencies, the blade needs high tension and lots of power. Dave

I think you're right. Long time ago grizzly offered powerfeeds but now I can't find any info about them. I think manual labor still works for pushing the wood thru

For a small saw, I think the best bet might be a small regular 1/4-1/2 hp laid on it's side. Maybe not enough to pull a long board but enough to aid you when you are pushing and even out the starts and stops that tend to occurr when hand feeding. If it doesn't work, the feeder can still be used on other machines. Dave

A manual feed assist (think "3rd hand") works well for me, even on a saw much larger.
