I have a regular travelling arrangement to the Quincy, MA on Mon-Thurs about twice a month. When not posing as a consultant from Dallas during my day job which brings me to the Quincy area, I mostly sit around the hotel watching HBO at night. A thought hit me that I might be able to meet/greet some fellow turners in the area and learn something new. If interested, send me a PM. I usually stay at the Marriot near the Braintree Split (S 93 and Route 3). I don't really know where I am but if you are local, you probably do. See ya.

New to the Creek??? Welcome Chip! I hope you have luck hooking up with folks on your trips. That sounds like a great opportunity to meet and learn and take up the dead time. :)

Hi Chip,

You might try giving Hank Cahill a call. He lives in Abington which is just south of where you stay. He is the president of the South Shore Woodturners club and the meetings are held in his barn.

He's a great guy and very involved with all the local clubs.

He can be reached at hecahillson@aol.com or 781-878-0234.

The club meets every 4th Tuesday of the month but Hank turns most every day.

I hope this helps,

Dennis
