I am building some travel sized cribbage boards, and the hole size will be 5/64 (2mm). My smallest brad point bit is 1/8, so I decided to clamp a slice of plywood over the board and just drill through both to eliminate tearout on the top. Problem now is that the bit wants to walk away from the mark, so I can't seem to get the holes to line up adequately. Any ideas where I can get a 5/64 or 2mm brad point bit?

Or even ideas on how to get it accurate with what I have.

A 5/64 bit shouldn't be that hard to find. Home Depot, Lowes and Amazon are a few places to check.

McMaster Carr has a 5/64 brad point bit. 2828A11 (https://www.mcmaster.com/#brad-point-drill-bits/=19p51t7)

Thanks guys, after I posted, I thought to shove the bit in the chuck leaving out only enough to drill with, that took away the walk. Going to order some from Lee Valley anyway, easier to see what I am doing without having plywood on top.

You are I assume running the boards against a fence? Using somekinda spacer strips to get the different rows?

Some sorta indexing method for the left right axis also may be needed for perfect end results.

The simple idea of inserting the bit into chuck should help you a lot.
