Hobbithouseinc lists three woods that are known by "tiger" and probably a zillion woods referred to tiger locally (anything with stripes). I have all three on my shelves and your board does look somewhat like tiger caspi, although the dark figure is in wider bands than the big turning block I have. Of course, there is a huge variety so guesses from photos of a board are still just guesses. You can look at the three and see what you think: http://www.hobbithouseinc.com/personal/woodpics/
If you look at the end grain as described here: http://www.wood-database.com/wood-articles/wood-identification-guide/ you may be able to narrow it down. Other clues are density and hardness. That web site also has good info about woods named Tiger.
