For light occasional woodshop use, not Patternmaker Machinist, cheap but decent.

Hate to buy chinese, basically never do, but only $30 - 40 budget.

Thinking of something like these -

Generally prefer no battery analog old school style, but open to battery if advantage.

I'll get flamed for this, but Harbor Freight. I have 6 pairs of them scattered through my shop, and they're entirely adequate for woodworking tolerances.
