Hi,

I have a set of tree stump slabs that I am trying to finish, and I ended up with blushing in the polyurethane. You can see the dull patches near the center. Is there anyway to fix this without resanding?

I this pic shows about 6 coats of minwax wipe on poly.

Thanks!
Chris

I don't see a picture. Were the slabs really dry? I'll bet not. If that's the case, the blushing isn't going to be resolved until they are dry to less than maybe 12% moisture

Also no pics.

Fix the blush in poly, probably not without sanding back and letting the slabs dry fully.

If it was lacquer or shellac, easy fix.

Yes it's caused by humidity, either in the timber or else very high air humidity. If it's the timber, sand it off and let it dry properly or else use a non film finish. If it was bad weather, sand it back and do it when the humidity is around 60%. Cheers
