I bought a 14" makita chopsaw. yes, it is for wood not metal. It is 20mm arbor so I will have to make a bushing. Makita blades are $120. which is 3 times what I paid for the saw with a blade on it. I will probably use it mainly to cut firewood so the fewer teeth the better. All the blades I can find are 80 teeth or more.

Be careful of going to fewer teeth on a chop saw. You said you plan on cutting firewood. A 24 tooth blade is generally used for ripping and have a significant hook angle. Fewer teeth may cause the blade to bite in too quickly and slam the wood out of your grip damaging the saw and possibly you.

Thanks for the link. I could not find anything other then abrasive metal cutting blades. Now I can see the wood blades. any idea on arbor size? Not mentioned and I need at least 20mm. I do not see any way to ask a question on Amazon.

You can try Cripe Distributing at (http://www.cripedistributing.com)http://www.cripedistributing.com
They have a couple of blades that might work for you. I am not affiliated with them but i have purchased from them several times.

The amazon listing has the arbor size listed at 1" (25.4 mm), and confirmed in the product image with that info printed on the blade.
