Have any of you ever made authentic divided light windows? Can you direct me to some books on the subject of making and repairing them?

Also, do you know of a source for anitque style window glass?

thanks.

JP,
Check your local stained glass place for the glass. They have glass that is close to the old style and have many other options that you may not have considered. Try these links to get some basic ideas. Spectrum and/or Kokomo glass is available at most stained glass shops. Glass is best purchased at your local shop unless you need a very large qty or can't find what you need locally.

I have no affiliation with this retailer!

You can make divided lite components on you router table or shaper.

Do a google search on window sash bits.

(Divided lites are made by the cope and stick method).

White side, Freud and CMT,

all offer a quality sash bit, and I believe Freud has one where you can

rip and reattach the back for divided lite cabinet work.

Hope this helps.

Per is correct, as usual. Just yesterday, I was taking a self tutorial on the CMT Window Sash Set. They have an excellent set if instructions http://www.cmtusa.com/store/docs/sash.pdf

It was very easy to follow and the joints are tight.
