bocote

Hello,
I have some bocote I'm going to use for a jewelry box, but I can't decide what other wood to use with it. I don't like the idea of a box made entirely of bocote, I think it would be too busy and distracting. I think maple would be too light, but something like walnut wouldn't work either. Maybe mahogany? Any ideas or suggestions would be much appreciated! Thanks.

I haven't used Bocote for boxes, but have used Granadillo and it has gone nicely with Canarywood. The lighter color provides a nice contrast, but it has enough grain and color so as not to be overpowered by the Bocote.
