I am a novice box maker. A blade that cuts a 1/8 inch flat bottomed kerf would simplify joinery and inlays. Otherwise I will make do with router bits and router table. I have a 10 inch Rigid TS

Full-kerf flat-top-tooth rip blade.

Yep. I needed to crosscut the same thing often enough I had a 50 tooth blade made. It has more than paid for itself. For things like miter keys an FTG rip will do ya fine. Just confirm that the kerf is the .125" width you want. "Full" kerf can be from .110" to .176" from one maker.

Wouldn't one blade out of a dado set do that?

I have three different maker's stacks. The outer blades are 1/8" but, not FTG. This may not be true for all makes.

This Forrest Blade Woodworker is flat ground: LINK (https://www.amazon.com/Forrest-Woodworker-Grind-Saw-Blade/dp/B00337AF5C) LINK (https://www.woodcraft.com/products/forrest-ww10401125-woodworker-ii-grind-saw-blade-10-x-1-x-40-tooth)

Freud LM72, Infinity 010-024, Delta Industrial 35-611, Amana RB1020, Forrest 20T or Forrest specialty grind. Any standard 1/8" full kerf with a flat top grind (FTG). Any other grind won't be truly flat.

One of the FJ08241 or FJ08242 sets is the route I was thinking of going: LINK (http://www.forrestblades.com/saw-blades-for-finger-joints-square-cut-box-joints-rabbets-grooves-and-dovetails/)

But yea the WW10401125 would be a standard Woodworker II blade that is flat ground.

Those are nice except they won't cut a 1/8" kerf.

I ordered a flat top 1/8" kerf blade from Carbide processors. Works great.

Any cheap blade will do, just take it to a sharpening service and have it ground to your specs.

I checked and my Woodworker II is flat ground.

WWII is usually ATB. Did you buy it with a #1 grind?

I don't need a flat top blade too often but I'd like to get a 10" with a flat top grind for less than the Woodworker #1 grind. I sent a note to Infinity tools to see if they have one.

Infinity offers an 8" with a 5/32" kerf but I want a 10" because I have a SawStop and I'd have to change the brake if I put in an 8" blade.

Somebody must make one for less than $150.

Some Freuds are 10" and some are 250mm. I think the industrials are 250mm, be prudent to check before ordering if you want it for a SS.

Note that this blade may not fit SawStop's recommendation:

"Further, blades with depth-limiting shoulders may take longer to stop in the event of an accident than standard blades, and you could receive a more serious injury. Therefore, SawStop recommends using blades without depth-limiting shoulders."

??Another fly in the ointment some of these blade coatings can/will defeat SawStop?? -- "Do not use saw blades or dado sets that have a lacquer or other coating on the teeth. These coatings are non-conductive and therefore can reduce the speed at which the system detects contact....Used blades that originally had a coating are OK to use since the coating is worn away within a few uses. However, SawStop recommends that you examine each tooth on such blades to confirm that no coating remains."

Infinity sent me a reply and recommended this blade (https://www.infinitytools.com/saw-blades-accessories/table-saw/table-saw-blades/ripping-saw-blades/10-ripping-saw-blade-24t-097-kerf). At $50 it a bit less expensive than the Freud. But I haven't looked at shipping cost.

The blade number is 010-024 - look down the list.

Tom,

The one that I ordered is the Freud LM72R010. It has the Flat Tooth Grind FTG but is actually 0.126" wide. The Incra I-Box works fine with it, but it is the very narrowest width that the I-Box will do. Mine took a little fiddling to get it to go that small the first time that I did it. There was a small burr on one of the fingers of the jig that needed to be filed off.

I have a Freud glue-line rip blade with a 1/8" kerf that cuts really nice flat bottomed grooves. Have used it for this purpose a number of times with good success.
