Well, other than Shorty...:D
Largest is a 10" along the blade. I seem to get a bit of use out of all of these...

Steven,
You are not the only one, I keep my hand tools in plastic shoe boxes and I have a shoe box full of squares.

It looks like you are off to a good start Steven.

These are the ones used most often, there are a few more floating around in different tool boxes.

LOL!

While in hospital for surgery my nurses commented on how often my bladder was full. This was even with my water rationed to 2 liters/day. I joked about my wife calling me, "Sir P*ssalot."

Those were just the wood handled ones....... I'd need a bigger bench for the all metal ones...

Starrett's "big boy" combo square head (http://www.starrett.com/metrology/product-detail/Combination-Square-Acce/Squares/Precision-Hand-Tools/Precision-Measuring-Tools/H8), which periodically comes up on this forum as an example of... something. What is clear however is that you absolutely must have one to participate in a square pissing match.

I have exactly two squares, a combination square and one of those big carpenter(?) squares. Do plan to pick up a framing square, though.

Add a speed square to the collection, you won't regret it. They are good for angles.

A person can make their own squares if desired. My hunt for a large square with a wooden stock has me thinking of making one.

Was a 12" square. Spent $18 today, going along a part of the World's Longest Yard Sale....

My ideal "set" of squares would be these: die makers square, 4, 6, 12, and H 8 combo squares, ground edge framing (rafter) square, 4, 6, 10 bevels 3" and 8" protractors, 8" dividers, 2, 4, 6 engineers squares, 1 pair stair gauges. I could do all "I" do with those and no others. I have others but seldom use any of them. I just need the die maker, the H8 and a good 8" protractor. Seven or eight hundred would do it.

Stanley square that was "picked" today is a No. 20.....12" Screws holding the brass strip to the Rosewood handle....one has left the building. Looks like it might have been stripped out at one time, may see IF I can find a longer one to replace it...

Square has been rehabbed back to life, and I can read all the inch markings. One item...depending on which side you look at the blade, the numbers either run towards the handle, or away from it.

Might be able to find some use for it...

Steve, this may, or may not be true, but, it is my opinion, which changes depending on what I last had to drink, that squares have a thing for you. I half expect to find out that they follow you home and you might be heard to say "um, where did this square come from?"

You have a seriously nice collection there Steve. I don't think that I own a single square of that type. And, it seems that you just recently grew that collection of yours!

And for reasons that make no sense to me, I am not thinking about cows with guns
