I am looking at various bandsaws and this one seems really nice and recommended but it doesn't seem to be available anymore. Most of the vendors only have the LT18HD listed and even navigating Lagunas website to their bandsaws doesn't have it listed. However searching for it on Google you can still get to the webpage on their site showing it is available.

I am also looking at the Minimax MM16 and the Felder FB 510 and it looks like the Minimax is the best buy right now. Any thoughts on these 3 saws or other recommended ones?

That is a very nice heavy bandsaw, I believe is was manufactured by ACM in Italy. I had one before I upgraded to a Felder FB540 21". It's as heavy built as the MM16, What is the price?

The ACM that Laguna is selling as the LT16HD is a pretty nice machine, can't go wrong with one. When I was selling MM16's, I was almost always able to match the price of whatever Laguna was selling that machine for and the MM16 is (IMO) a lot more saw for the dollar, so was a strong seller for me.

One thing to keep in mind that Joe mentioned: Felder actually sells two lines of bandsaws. The FB540, 640, etc. are all ACM machines and ACM's beefier "PB" (or whatever they call it now, versus the lighter "Star" line) whereas the Felder FB510, 610, etc. that seem to get pushed much more heavily, are only "assembled in Austria", which is why they are substantially less in retail price.

Depends on your intended use. The MM is constructed to tension wide resaw blades to 25000+. The ACM heavy might but someone here would need to verify. I've not heard of an FB 510 that could but someone with one and a tension meter could verify. Dave

I can attest that the Grizzly (rated for a max. blade width of 1-3/8") has no trouble putting 25K psi on a 1" Woodmaster CT.

I have one of the LT18HD's for a few years now and really like it. It also came with the Driftmaster fence as well, that works nicely.
