Here are a couple of small turnings I have done in the last couple of days, in-between making the wands.

Right to left, Madron Burl Bowl (just under 1/8" thick, except for the foot), Hollow Holly Christmas Ornament (3/16" thick), and a piece of wood (unknown) I got from John Hart that I tried my hollowing rig on that I got from Jim Ketron, I need a lot of practice with this tool.:(

Thanks for looking

Nice work Dick!
The more you use the CHR, the more you will like it.
There is a small learning curve but you will get the hang of it pretty quick!

An interesting assortment of turnings there, Mr. Parr. I like the ornament and I like the madrone burl bowl. I have turned some madrone for pens but not for bowls. I have a piece of madrone burl large enough for a box that I have not worked up the courage to try.

Good lookin' , Dick.

Could you shoot the bowl again, a little lighter. I think I will be impressed.

Nice job, Dick! You've been giving that new lathe a real workout!:) How you holding up with all that work?

Jim, probably a dumb question but, what the heck is a "CHR"? :)

Good work Dick. I like them all, but the ornament interests me. What are the deminsions? Did you hollow it out too?

Dick, I love the variety in your turnings. I never know what to expect from your posts. They all look good. Leave it to John to give you some "unknown" wood :D
