This design is made from wild black cherry. It is about 5 inches wide and 2.5 inches high, and finished with spray lacquer. These things are fun to make because you can let yourself go wild with the design. Comments are welcomed.

That is pretty cool, Glenn. What do they call a bee hive in that shape? A skep?????

Mike, in need of a descriptive term for it, I named it for the pictures I had seen for the old beehives. These were probably used in the early 1800's or prior to that time. I had to call it something. Anyway thanks for the favorable comment.

Oh....I have a question Glenn: Is it a Hollow Form or just bored for the candle?

Thanks John, it is just bored out for the candle.

Very nice Glenn, those do look like fun to make.

As soon as I can find a place to buy them in qty of 20-25 I would like to make some also. Between you and Jim, your having all the fun.:)

Glenn,

Did you turn those beads freehand or did you use a beading tool? They look perfect!

Thanks Harry, I used a beading tool to lay them out, and because this thing was spalted I was getting some tear out, I use a skew to form them.

Okay, I can finally write something. Seeing your beehive made me think of something sweet, which turned my attention to the fresh peach cobbler that just cooled off on the stove. Just finished my last delicious bite.

I remember pictures of beehives like that Glenn.

Great job on the confetti bee light.
