Few more shots around the shop;)

Table saw is a 10 inch Bridgetank, I mean Bridgewood left tilt model BW10lts, this model weighs 570 pounds. The outfeed table is a Delta model 50-302 (I was lazy and did not want to make my own)

Thanks Jim, I hadn't thought about that.

The planer is just an outstanding unit, couldn't be happier. Grizzly model 1033, what a brute, weighs in at 750 pounds.

For the size of my shop, and the number of units attached, the Grizzly model 0440 two hp cyclone is more than satisfactory;

Delta mortiser model 14-650 gets a work out on just about every project.

Even though I use the 20 inch planer for most work, the 13 inch Ridgid is for pieces thinner than 1/2 inch.
The Delta model 10 radial arm saw is used only for rough cross cut work, all other cross cuts are performed on the table saw.

All dove tails that I use are produced using the Leigh D4 gig.

Dan....

All I can say is that you have a shop to die for. Very nice!

Thanks for sharing.

I always see posts discussing the pros and cons on band saws, so far this Delta 14 inch unit has performed well on all occasions.

My assembly bench is no beauty, but is strudy and functional. Not too much to say about that. Same goes for the drill press, just an import from Asia somewere.

The Stanley hand planes were picked up a swap meets and then referbished. The handles and knobs are all remade using maple and cherry. The blades and chip breakers were replaced with Hock hardware.
No.4 smooth plane, No. 5 Jack plane, and No. 6 Fore plane, No. 90 rabbit plane and cheepy block plane.

My clamp selection is nothing special, Bessy's, Jogy's (not shown), pipe clamps, and quick clamps (also not shown)

For spray finishing, is use a 20 gallon compressor and the Accuspray model 19 spray gun, or the Binks touch up HVLP gun.

Hope I didn't bore too many folks, but there it is, High Desert Custom Woodworking in all it's glory.

Looks like a great setup Dan. I can only hope a few years down the road my shop will be equipped half as nice as yours.

Is your shop air conditioned? Palmdale isn't real famous for its cool summer days, huh? :)

Lou,
The Bridgewood table saw is outstanding, all machine surfaces are dead flat with no machining swirls. The three horse motor has more than enough power.

Vaughn,
No air conditioning, one of the other attributes of the high desert is the winds, so I open the side door and let the breeze flow. I usually stop work when the temp hits 110, even with the wind, that is too hot to work!!!

Thanks Mark, Like everyone else, more space would be nice, but it meets my needs.

Richard, the cyclone exceeds my needs by quite a bit. I usually end up having three gates open all or most of the time with no noticeable negative effects. Although the collection barrel fills up ln a hurry when planing. Most likely some time next year I will build an attachment to the shop that will be used for the dust collector, lumber storage and finishing. At the present, when the D/C is running I can't hear the phone or radio.

Hello Dan,

Great shop pics I really enjoyed them. I was wondering if it were possible for you to post a landscape type picture of your shop showing all the equipment, from say the front door. I am very interested to see how you have your work flow arranaged. Enjoy your time in that well equipped shop.
