Jigsaw puzzles

I have an order for 35- 6" x 8" laser cut puzzles, typical interlocking type. The laser cutting will be the easy part. What is the correct way
to have them printed. They should be somewhat water resistant for handling. Other than a photo mount spray adhesive is there a better way
to glue them to say illustration or mat board? Will I need to coat them with a waterproof spray?

I have laser cut them for others.

For mounting, the spray would work if you are using mat board. I would probably spray with an acrylic clearcoat also to help with handling. I DO need to do this also to figure out best method. I myself would probably mount on some thin ply. I've some 5mm that is flat,

John did you or someone else have a program you used to cut those puzzles out?

I've found 3M 568 adhesive film (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00023JK88) to be a lot less hassle than the spray for mounting photos.

Bert found the one that is free, works very well.

Lee, Have not used that one. 3M 467 or 468 works well.

John, Thin ply is used in the high end puzzles, good call as it will last longer

I would use 1/4" thick PVC sheet for the backing material. It won't ever warp or affected by humidity. It would also be more attractive than a plywood backing.

I have been under the assumption that PVC is a no go for engravers. Am I wrong to think that?

I too have always been told the PVC is not for lasers, at all?

I don't think he was suggesting lasering it just using a sheet for backing
