With the help of my strong wife I stood the bandsaw up for the first time after getting it home yesterday late afternoon.
I’m waiting now at this point until my new Timber Wolf 3/4” 2-3tpi blade arrives tomorrow to set everything up.
I was checking the fence that came with it and noticed it was slightly concave. the bottom and top edges were on but the middle sunk in a bit. It seems by design and not by error.
Should it be this way or not? I can see if the piece your sawing is tall enough to touch the top part of the fence I feel everything would be fine, but if it’s shorter then it would “lean” back resulting in a slanted resawn cut.
Unless I’m missing something here, please advise.
thanks

Brian, maybe you could call Rikon and just ask. If it isnt supposed to be, you can order the replacement right then.

Just as a comparison... I have a Rikon 10-326 bandsaw with a 6" high fence and it is completely flat top to bottom....

Is there an extrusion that is attached from the rear? Are you over-torquing? Could that area be shimmed (foil tape works well) and then re-torqued to eliminate the concavity?

I checked it for flat before I even put it on. I called Rikon and they sent me a new one.
