I just glued up my first end grain breadboard size 18x23 with 1 3/4" squares 2'' thick. Noticed that i have several 0.01 gaps that appear to correspond to thickness sander snipe. Glue did not fill them and now I would like to fill them with either epoxy or any other waterproof substance to eliminate food fluids from getting into them. the gaps are on one side only and are about 1/4 to 3/8 deep. Any ideas?

If this is to be used for cutting/chopping keep in mind anything you use as filler may end up in food.

The traditional chopping block finish is paraffin applied melted and flattened with a card scraper. This fills voids but is edible.

I would rip it where those gaps are and reglue, as it's likely to break there anyway.
