Tackle Box hardware

Ya know the old tackle boxes? The ones where you would lift the lid and one or two trays were attached to the lid and would cascade open as you opened the lid all the way?

Anyone know where to buy a good quality version of that hardware? I'm looking to build a box maybe 14" x 8" x 8" high with hopefully two of those self opening trays for a VSP.

I have built a couple of boxes like that. Pretty simple actually. Never did find any premade hardware though. I used some brass strips.

I used the concept shown in Shop Notes #78 to design mine. Or, you could take a look at one to see how it is done. They are not antiques, you can still find them in all sorts of stores. You can even find tool boxes like that.

Interesting. I suppose this is simplier than I thought. I guess it's just two parallel arms for each shelf and the top one attaches to the lid,eh?

I'm on my phone now so I'll have to dive into some videos when I'm at my computer later.
