First - thanks to everybody that encouraged me to go bigger/better. My Minimax MM16 is shipping out today and should be here by next Thurs. or Friday. I'd also been considering the Laguna and was going to give them a serious comparison but still hadn't received any of the info I'd requested through their website so I finally called them. Made me feel they were doing me a favor by just talking to me. For that kind of money I expect to have my backside kissed a bit, not the other way around. So I went with my initial thoughts and the very positive comments from you MM16 owners and called Minimax back. It was a big chunk of money, but I feel surprisingly good about spending it. I think I made the right decision.

Good for you Doug. I've heard a lot of good things about MM. I'm sure it will work out great for you. What are you presently using?

Good for you Doug. I've heard a lot of good things about MM. I'm sure it will work out great for you. What are you presently using?

Currently a Jet 14" that despite having a riser block, struggles to make good quality resaw cuts reliably beyond 6" wide - at least not without putting some Iturra upgrades on it.

Well at this stage, the cost of a mega-zoom lens able to snap a pic while it's still in Texas would cost me more than the MM16:D I'll just have to owe the picture police;)

I better leave that one alone. Any attempt at a snappy comeback on my part would certainly violate the TOS.:D
