Are the free shipping events for Lee Valley predictable? If so would anyone know when the next one might be?

Not that I have noticed. I just wait for the emails to announce when they do them. They seem to do maybe a half dozen a year.

I'll bet right between Father's Day and the 4th of July.

While not "predicable", they seem to be often enough to make them very useful. :)

I'm waiting for the next one to order a hose reel. I hope they have one in a few weeks for Fathers Day.

What kind of hose reel?

Think he meant garden hose reel...I don't believe they sell [air] hose reels for the shop.

Maybe this?

Thank you to whoever fixed my typo in the header. I tried to do it but it doesn't seem possible to edit the thread title once it's created.

Fathers day would certainly be logical wouldn't it. I hope so. I'm going to get paid next week for a big job just finished and I'm using all the restraint I can muster. I'm lusting after the PM V11 bench chisels. But I still may cheap out and go with the O1's.

If you catch it soon enough, if you go into Advanced Edit, you can adjust the title. But if the edit window (time) has closed, you'll not be able to do that. Some of us, however... "have the power"... LOL

For the record, BTW, I'm hoping there's a new free shipping window soon, myself...I have a few doo-dads on "my Lee Valley list".

All kidding aside, yes, fantastic company, love it when I can get free shipping.

Not saying anything negative about Lee Valley but if you want a really good watering hose reel, I would go here:

Nice Dave! I was wrong, but I still contend you'll see it again just before the 4th of July. So in case you forget to order something this week...

Yeah, but twice the price. I looked at them as well.

It does depend on your use. Under my use, the BORG $80 units are "done" in a year and the feed mechanism starts leaking in a matter of days. I bet the $100 Lee Valley is done in 3 or 4 at max. I've had an Eley for 17 that still works well and has survived So Cal sun and fairly heavy use. I did specify "if you want a really good watering hose reel". That is what the nurseries buy and find they are much cheaper in the long run.

I agree Greg. My dad has killed probability a dozen hose reels and got an Eley and has been very happy. I fill up a couple water tables and kid pools, I don't think I need the $225 version.
